Biography
Dr. Kershner pursued his undergraduate studies at Boston University and received his Masters of Science and Doctor of Medicine degrees with honors at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. He completed his Internship in General Surgery, his specialty training in Ophthalmology at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center in Tucson and was chief resident in Ophthalmology at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City.
He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, subspecialty certified in Cataract and Refractive Surgery by the American Board of Eye Surgery,
a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and
over thirty other organizations, a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Kershner is Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Past Chief of the Section of Ophthalmology at Northwest Medical Center, Medical Director, Pima Medical Institute, a Member of the Board of the American College of Eye Surgeons, and Director of
Cataract and Refractive Surgery at the Eye Laser Center in Tucson, Arizona.
Dr. Kershner has performed over 26,000 eye microsurgical procedures including no shot, no stitch, not patch, and no glasses microincision cataract surgery, refractive eye surgery for nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism with
RK, PRK , LASIK, and the new implantable contact lens, the latest surgical treatment for glaucoma, the collagen glaucoma drainage device, and is a pioneer in many of the new techniques for vision correction.
In 1999, he received the Achievement Award of the American Academy of
Ophthalmology. Dr. Kershner is among a prestigious few to be selected
for inclusion in the "Guide to America's Top Ophthalmologists"
published by the Consumers' Research Council of America in Washington,
DC.

Biography
Dr.Seniw
is from San Jose, California where he attended Oak Grove High School and
received his Bachelors Degree from the University of California at San
Diego, Revelle College. Following college, he participated in an
exchange program with Dartmouth College. Dr. Seniw has had a strong
interest in international studies and spent a year abroad at the
University of Nairobi in Nairobi, Kenya, at the Barquisimeto General
Hospital in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, the Santa Fe De Bogota Foundation
Hospital in Bogotá, Colombia, Project H.O.P.E. in Moscow, Russia, the Institute of Tropical
Medicine “Alexander Von Humbolt”, University of Peru Cayentano
Heredia in Lima, Peru, the Los Andes Ophthalmological Foundation in
Santiago, Chile and was awarded a Master of Science in Foreign Service (M.S.F.S.)
from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Washington, D.C.
Dr.
Seniw received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine
in Washington,
D.C., and interned in Internal Medicine at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco, California. He pursued
his Ophthalmology Residency in the Department of Ophthalmology at Los
Angeles County Hospital/University of Southern California Medical Center
& Doheny Eye Institute in Los Angeles, California.
He
is an honor recipient of a University of California Regents Scholarship,
a Lawrence Dean Scholarship, and a Kober scholarship awarded on the
basis of academic excellence.
Dr.
Seniw is fluent in English and Spanish and is an avid hiker and
outdoorsman. He is a superb clinician and is extremely well liked by
colleagues and patients. Dr. Seniw practices at the Eye Laser Center in
Tucson, Arizona specializing in comprehensive ophthalmology and micro
eye surgery.
